New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- Two men who were allegedly involved in snatching a police officer's service pistol and firing at him in Safdarjung Enclave were arrested following a joint operation by Delhi Police and Uttar Pradesh Police, an officer said on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Thursday, when a beat officer of the Safdarjung Enclave police station was patrolling a park area around 2:20 pm.
Acting on a tip-off received regarding suspicious persons inside the nearby jungle area, the officer reached the spot and noticed two men behaving suspiciously.
During questioning, the duo allegedly attacked the officer, overpowered him and snatched his service pistol.
