Hazaribag, March 29 -- Two persons were killed and several others injured during incidents linked to Ram Navami processions in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, officials said on Sunday.
The incidents were reported during traditional akhara performances carried out as part of the procession in different parts of the town.
Local sources said a number of injured persons were admitted to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital, while some critically injured were referred to RIMS, Ranchi for advanced treatment.
Unconfirmed reports suggested that a large number of participants sustained minor injuries during the course of the procession. However, official figures were not immediately available.
