Two changes made to the eligibility criteria for the BPL list in Himachal Pradesh

Bilaspur, Jan. 13 -- Two changes have been made to the eligibility criteria for the BPL list in Himachal Pradesh. District Development Officer, Bilaspur, Yashpal Singh Parmar, said on Tuesday that the Rural Development Department has made some important changes to the eligibility process for the BPL (Below Poverty Line) list.

He said that under the first change, families who were excluded from the BPL list due to owning a pucca house will now be given an exemption and included in the BPL list. In this regard, a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) will prepare and notify the list of eligible families by January 15.
