Srinagar, Jan. 16 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Kashmir, has filed a chargesheet against two brothers from Karnataka for allegedly duping a person of Rs 13 lakh on the pretext of securing an MBBS seat for his son, officials said on FridayThe chargesheet was presented before the Court of Sub-Judge, Baramulla in an 2024 FIR against accused Aquib Javeed and his brother Mohammad Ahtesham Ahmad, both sons of Mohammad Ayoub and residents of Ring Road, Adarsh Nagar, Gulbarga, in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka.
According to officials, the case originated from a written complaint alleging that the complainant was approached by one Dr Shamsu-Din, working at Al-Amin Medical College, Bijapur, Karnataka.
