Ankara, July 2 -- Turkish security forces have seized 825 kg of heroin and detained 30 suspects linked to an international drug trafficking organization in an operation across seven provinces, said Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya today. The operation, based in southeast Turkiye's Adana and extending to Hakkari, Hatay, Istanbul, Van, Diyarbakir and Mersin provinces, targeted an organized criminal network allegedly led by a fugitive abroad, identified as S.I., the minister said on the social media platform X, without specifying the time frame of the operation.
