Chennai, Jan. 15 -- Aziz Ouakaa of Tunisia edged past Wild Card entrant Hitesh Chauhan 6-3, 7-6 (2) to move into the quarter finals of the Adityan ITF M25 International Tennis Tournament being held here on Thursday.
In the pre-quarters, Aziz won the first set rather easily, before he faced a stiff resistance from Hitesh, before prevailing in tie-breaker to advance to the last eight state.
In other matches, Top seed Max Houkes of Netherlands displayed smooth strokes and easy movement as he outsmarted Timofei Derepasko to win in straight sets, while Second seeded Ilia Simakin proved to be too solid for Mitsuki Wei Leong and Prajwal Dev got the better of the lanky Abhinav Sanjeev Shanmugam, a qualifier in straight sets.
