Agartala, Feb. 4 -- Tripura has received financial assistance of Rs 12.72 Cr so far under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the Centre's flagship rooftop solar initiative aimed at promoting clean and affordable energy at the household level, said the state's power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday.
Since the launch of the demand-driven scheme in February 2024, a total of 1,848 rooftop solar systems have been installed across the state, benefiting 1,859 families by providing them with access to renewable electricity and reduced power bills, Nath stated.
