Agartala, Aug. 10 -- Police in Tripura's Dhalai district have arrested two youths from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly attempting to secure government jobs under Tripura's resident quota using fake documents.

The arrests, made following intelligence inputs from vigilant locals, have once again exposed a longstanding recruitment scam involving candidates from outside the state. The accused Rupesh Kumar and Pradeep Kumaralong with a woman identified as Mamata Singh, are at the centre of the investigation.

The duo reportedly cleared the Staff Selection Commission (SSC-GD) exams by falsely claiming residency in Morachhara under Kamalpur subdivision. Police apprehended them at Salema while they were en route to Kamalpur to collect job offer letter...
