Tripura Minister criticises CPI-M for appeasement politics
Agartala, March 21 -- A day after Tripura's CPI-M state secretary and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jitendra Chaudhury wrote to Governor seeking action against state's Animal Resources Development and Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das for the latter's Facebook post, Das came down heavily on CPI-M and Congress.
Lashing out at CPI-M, the minister accused them of engaging in appeasement and religion-based politics while ignoring the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh. The controversy erupted after Das posted a statement on social media drawing historical parallels between Mughal ruler Aurangzeb and the present-day political stance of opposition parties.
