Agartala, Aug. 23 -- The council of ministers in Tripura in a meeting today cleared several welfare measures under Social Welfare department to support poor families having Antyodaya ration cards and differently-abled persons.
Cabinet spokesperson and Minister of Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury said that under Chief Minister's Kanya Bivah Yojana (Girls marriage scheme), financial assistance of Rs 50,000 will be provided for the marriage of eligible girls belonging to Antyodaya families.
Under Chief Minister's Antyodaya Shraddhajanji Yojana, funeral assistance for Antyodaya families has been increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000. The government has also introduced a new scheme, Chief Minister's Scheme for Mentally Challenged Persons, under which...
