Agartala, June 22 -- The BJP-led government in Tripura has so far offered 18 jobs to the families whose breadwinners lost their lives in political violence during the 35-year rule of the Left Front and five years of Congress, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath said. The jobs have been offered against permanent posts in various government departments, the minister said on Saturday night.

He said soon after coming to power in 2018, the BJP-IPFT coalition took a humanitarian step to support the families who lost their loved ones because of political violence. So far, 39 applications have been received, out of which 18 persons have already been provided with jobs.
