Agartala, April 15 -- Tripura's Fisheries Department has opened multiple fish sales counters at 16 various locations across the state, offering fish at government-regulated prices as part of the celebration of Bengali New Year on Wednesday.

Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das explained that the fish supply for this initiative came from both the department's own farms and cooperative fisheries, making at least four varieties of big fish available. These outlets will offer discounted fish, ensuring people from all economic backgrounds can partake in the celebrations without financial strain.
