Agartala, Jan. 29 -- Without attempting to appease anyone or stifle his inner beliefs, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has established a clear boundary regarding the five-decade-long debate on the script for Kokborok (dialect spoken by the tribal people of the state) and made it clear that there is no Roman script for the language.
He reaffirmed that there would be no concessions on it and urged the Kokborok-speaking populace to either adopt the Devanagari script or create a new script of their own, while firmly dismissing the idea of adopting the Roman script.
