Hardoi, March 27 -- A tragic road accident which occured on Friday in Dholiya village under Sursa police station limits of UP's Hardoi district escalated into violence, leaving three people dead and the village on edge.
According to police, the incident occurred around 4:42 pm, when a speeding loaded vehicle struck 70-year-old Dev Sahay Pandey near a primary school in the village. The elderly man died on the spot due to severe injuries.
Following the accident, enraged family members of the deceased and local villagers turned violent. Armed with sticks, they attacked the driver, Shivam (30), and his younger brother Aman (18), both residents of the same village.
