Seoul, Jan. 27 -- Trial will begin on Tuesday afternoon over the charges of political funds act violation against the impeached former South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol.
The first pretrial preparation hearing will be held at 2:00 pm local time (0500 GMT) for the case involving Yoon.
Yoon was accused of conspiring with his wife, Kim Keon-hee, to receive illegal public opinion polls free of charge from a political broker on multiple occasions from 2021 to 2022 ahead of the presidential election.
