Shillong, Jan. 13 -- Meghalaya Police today arrested a Traffic warden for forcing a group of tourists from Assam's Cachar district to cough up Rs. one lakh as "fine" for driving his car into a no-entry zone.

The Traffic warden, identified as Reganson Kharlor (35), a trained Meghalaya Home Guard, was arrested after a video went viral, showing him threatening the occupants of a car bearing registration number AS-01-F-1460, using abusive language and demanding a fine of Rs. one lakh for alleged violation of traffic rules.
