Chennai, Aug. 8 -- ISRO will be celebrating second National Space Day on August 23 to
mark the historic soft-landing of Vikram Lander on the south pole of the Lunar Region onboard Chandrayaan-3 on that day in 2023.
To mark this occasion, August 23 was declared as National Space Day and the second of it will
be celebrated on August 23 at Bharati Mandapam, New Delhi, ISRO said today.
Top ISRO scientists, including its Chairman Dr V Narayanan are expected to take part in the event.
Since the event is being held in New Delhi, there were possibilities of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh too taking part in it, though an official confirmation is awaited.
