Karur (Tamil Nadu), March 10 -- In a daring act, a gang abducted a girl student of Government Arts College at Thanthonimalai in Karur district in broad daylight on Monday afternoon.
Police sources said the girl, a resident of Easanatham village is pursuing final year B.A History was walking towards the college campus after alighting from the bus, when the gang waiting at a nearby place forcibly abducted her in an Omni van and sped away.
On a complaint from other students, Thanthoni police have registered a case and are investigating.
Police formed three special teams to rescue the abducted girl, but the girl could not be traced till evening.
