Chennai, Jan. 19 -- The Tamil Nadu Postal Circle marked a step forward in the modernisationof campus-based postal services with the inauguration of the N-Gen (Next Generation) Post Officeat the IIT-Madras campus on Monday.
The facility was inaugurated by Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, in the presence of Dr.JanePrasad, Registrar, IIT-Madras; G. Natarajan, Postmaster General, Chennai City Region; Major ManojM., Director Postal Services, Chennai City Region; and other distinguished guests.
This new post office inauguration is as part of the Department of Posts' national initiative to revamppost offices located within educational institutions.
