Chennai, March 16 -- Succinctly hinting that it would go it alone in its maiden electoral battle, the nascent Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor-turned-neta Vijay on Monday clarifiedthat no talks were held with any political party on alliance for the April 23 Assembly polls.

Putting at rest widespread speculations that the BJP was trying to rope in Vijay's party into the NDA fold to make it more stronger to take on the formidable ruling DMK-led Front, a TVK release dismissed reports on a possible alliance with the saffron party saying no discussions have taken place with any political party regarding alliance.
