Chennai, March 14 -- Extending a largesse to accommodate new entrants into the alliance by reducing the quota for the long standing allies like the CPI, CPI(M) and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), has resulted in a deadlock for the ruling DMK, heading the formidable Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) in finalising the seat-sharing pacts with them for the upcoming Assembly elections, the schedule of which was expected to be announced by the ECI in the next couple of days.
