Chennai, March 18 -- As part of the ongoing election expenditure monitoring and enforcement activities, Flying squad and surveillance commmittee officials have made significant seizures across various categories with the cumulative value standing at Rs 42.65 crore till date,The seizures included Rs 2.37 crore cash, liquor worth Rs 0.18 crore, drugs/narcotics worth Rs 2.88 crore, precious metal to the tune of Rs 16.42 crore, besides freebies and other items worth Rs 20.80 crores, Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Ms Archana Patnaik said on Wednesday.
