Kolkata, March 1 -- Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamul Congress national general secretary, alleged on Sunday that some BJP leaders do not want to hold elections in Bengal, fearing a landslide defeat and so used the Election Commission of India to delay the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) procedure.
Abhishek addressed a press conference at Trinamul Bhavan this afternoon.
He said the party's chairperson, Mamata Banerjee, will stage a dharna at the Metro channel in Dharmatala on March 6, to protest against the faulty voter's list which was published on February 28. She will announce the future movement of the party from Dharmatala.
