Kolkata, Dec. 23 -- West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress on Tuesday strongly condemned the brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh.

In a statement, the ruling party said the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh and its barbarity has no place in any civilised society and must be unequivocally denounced.

The TMC also slammed the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for "exploiting such a tragic and sensitive incident to advance their toxic agenda" and allegedly "fanning communal hatred to provoke unrest in Bengal".
