Mumbai, July 18 -- The critically lauded Bengali film 'Baksho Bondi - Shadowbox' produced by Tilottama Shome and Jim Sarbh, has been chosen as the opening film for the 2025 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).

Directed by Tanushree Das and Soumyanand Saha, the film stars Tilottama Shome as 'Maya'. The film is set in the dusty fringes of Kolkata, beautifully depicting the story of a working woman's life, her love, her courage and her strength to fight silently. The opening night of the festival will raise its curtains in Melbourne on August 14, marking the beginning of India's celebration of profoundly human stories.
