Patna, Feb. 7 -- union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday said the union Budget has introduced new policy concepts aimed at transforming tier-2 and tier-3 cities into growth engines of a developed India and to attain the mission of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Rijiju told news persons here that in the current budget, strong focus has been given to tier-2 and tier-3 cities, which are numerous in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He said the government has decided to promote integrated development of smaller cities by strengthening infrastructure, improving civic amenities and generating employment so that these urban centres can play a key role in driving national growth.
