Azamgarh, Sept. 28 -- A heart-wrenching incident shook the residents of the Martinganj area on Sunday when the bodies of three unidentified children were found in the Beso River.

The discovery sparked both grief and a jurisdictional dispute between two police stations, Didarganj (Azamgarh district) and Khetasarai (Jaunpur district).

The tragic incident unfolded near Bhado village in the Didarganj police station area around 4:00 pm, when a group of local children jumped into the Beso River from a bridge to bathe.

During their swim, they noticed a bundle of cloth floating near the riverbank.

On closer inspection, they discovered a child's body inside the bundle.
