Raebareli, April 24 -- Three teenagers drowned while bathing in the Ganga River at Nisgar Ghat under the Sareni police station area in Raebareli district.
A fourth teenager was rescued and is currently undergoing treatment, police said on Friday.
According to reports, Hariom (20), Harishankar (15), Satendra, and another boy from Ranikheda village had gone to the ghat for a bath on Thursday evening. During the activity, Harishankar accidentally slipped into deep water and began to drown.
In an attempt to save him, the other three boys rushed forward but misjudged the depth and were also pulled into the river.
