Three members of a family met their watery grave in river Ganga

Munger, May 13 -- At least three members of a family were drowned in the river Ganga under the Muffasil police station area here on Tuesday.

According to the police, five members of the family of one Sanjay Yadav of Bardah village had gone to take a bath in the river Ganga.

While bathing, Sanjay Yadav's son Aman Raj started drowning in the deep water. While trying to save him, his elder brother Harsh Raj drowned. Their elder sister, Shalu Kumari, and their uncle and aunt, while trying to save them, too, went deep into the water one by one.

The local people managed to save the uncle and aunt; however, all three children met their watery grave.

The bodies were fished out and sent for postmortem.
