Three injured in late-night robbery, including 13-year-old boy in critical condition

Ranchi, Jan. 22 -- A gang of armed dacoits carried out a violent robbery at a residence in Manokamna Nagar, Nagri area here late Wednesday night, leaving three members of a family, including a 13-year-old boy, seriously injured.

According to police, around 2 a.m., six assailants armed with sticks forcibly entered the house of Suresh Mahato and began ransacking the premises. When the family resisted, the criminals launched a brutal assault on Suresh Mahato, his wife, and their minor son. All three sustained grievous injuries. The condition of the child and his mother is reported to be critical.
