New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- A Special NIA Court in Mumbai has awarded five years six months and two days rigorous imprisonment to three persons in the 2020 Sahar fake currency case involving smuggling of high-quality counterfeit notes from Malaysia into India.
The court while awarding sentence to accused Danish Haji Mohammed Petiwala and Sarasvati Dattaram alias Muskan also imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 on each.
The NIA Court said that J Kaleel Rahman will undergo RI of 5 years, 5 months and 18 days, along with a fine of Rs ,000, as per the orders of the special court, which held all three guilty under various provisions of IPC and UA(P) Act.
