Bhubaneswar, April 23 -- The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday said that those holding constitutional posts must uphold the dignity and decorum of their offices, citing the instance of the Odisha Assembly Speaker taking part in a rally organized by ruling BJP.

Since the BJP government assumed power in the state, individuals holding constitutional positions are found flagrantly violating the dignity of their offices, lowering the dignity of their constitutional posts, the BJD said.

Addressing a press conference here today, Biju Chhatra Janata Dal president Ipsita Sahu cited several instances to highlight how persons in constitutional posts have allegedly compromised the decorum associated with their positions.
