Mumbai, Jan. 5 -- : Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) MP on Monday lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for "persuading" a Shiv Sena (UT) candidate to withdraw from the municipal corporation election slated for January 15.
He alleged the "use" of the police to force the candidate from his party to meet Shinde, who in turn "persuaded" a "withdrawal."Raut challenged Shinde to "fight openly from the front" rather than "stab from the back".
"If Eknath Shinde had any courage or manliness, he would not have done such things, but he has been stabbing people in the back all his life," the MP who is also chief spokesperson for the party said.
