Chennai, Nov. 18 -- Met office today said several parts of Tamil Nadu especially Cauvery delta and Northern districts received good rains as the Northeast Monsoon has become active over Tamil Nadu, thanks to the present Low Pressure Area over the Bay, even as a fresh system will form on November 22 promising more rains in the coming days.
In an update, Met Office said rainfall occurred at many places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area as yesterday's Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka now lies over Comorin area and neighbourhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 5.6 km above mean sea level.
It is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards during next 24 hours.
