Thane, April 11 -- The Thane district rural police saved the life of 25 year old housewife from Bhiwandi who was taken for dead by her husband and dumped on the Mumbai-Nashik highway the police said on Saturday.
It was on the night of Thursday at around 8.45 p.m. the police at the Wadpe police chowki got a message from the passers by on the highway that a woman was lying with her throat slit on the Dhapsipada of Dhamangaon.
The police of the Bhiwandi taluka rushed to the scene and found the woman profusely bleeding with her throat slit and struggling for life.
The police immediately rushed her to first the MGM hospital at Bhiwandi and then to the CSMG Hospital at Kalwa and saved her life.
