Jammu, Jan. 22 -- At least ten Indian Army soldiers were killed and as many injured on Thursday when an Army vehicle ferrying them, met with an accident and plunged into a deep gorge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials here said that the Army's Casper vehicle fell into a gorge due to slippery road conditions near the Khannitop on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road when a team was heading for an operation.

"The vehicle fell down into a gorge around 300 feet deep resulting in the death of ten soldiers and injuries to as many," they said.
