Jayashankar Bhupalapally, April 20 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy today night released Rs 5,700 crore under the second phase of the Rythu Bharosa scheme, reiterating the Congress government's commitment to farmers' welfare.
Addressing a public meeting at Nasturipalli village in Kataram mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalapally district, the Chief Minister said the Congress has consistently prioritised farmers and the poor through a series of welfare initiatives.
He noted that the party pioneered free electricity for farmers and undertook major irrigation projects to ensure water availability. He also recalled that the Congress introduced measures to guarantee remunerative prices for agricultural produce.
