Hyderabad, Jan. 14 -- Infrastructure development emerged as a key priority for the Telangana Prisons Department in 2025, with multiple projects aimed at easing overcrowding, enhancing security, and modernising correctional facilities across the State, according to Director General (Prisons ) Soumya Mishra.

A major upcoming addition is the Siddipet District Jail, a high-security facility designed to accommodate 415 prisoners, she said during the annual press meet here on Monday.
