Nirmal, Feb. 25 -- In a shocking incident, a second-year engineering student allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT-IIIT) campus in Basara, Nirmal district.
The deceased was identified as Vasantha, a native of Wanaparthy district. She was reportedly alone in her hostel room while other students had gone to classes. Her fellow students found her dead on their return and immediately informed the college authorities.
The institute management alerted the police and informed the student's parents.
