Hyderabad, Feb. 22 -- The Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Telangana, on Sunday strongly condemned the incident that took place in Banswada town (Kamareddy District) on Friday and demanded strict action against those responsible.

In a statement, VHP state Joint Secretary Dr. Ravinuthala Shashidhar, alleged that Hindu devotees were attacked during a procession in Banswada and created tension in the area.

He alleged that certain anti-social elements deliberately tried to disturb communal harmony.

He stated that such incidents hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community and create fear among local residents.

He demanded strict action against those responsible for the attack.
