Hyderabad, March 30 -- Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday announced plans to introduce a stringent system to curb food adulteration by adopting best practices from across the country and building a robust legal framework, drawing inspiration from initiatives such as 'Eagle' and 'Hydra'.

Speaking during an informal interaction with the media at the Council premises, the Chief Minister said the state government's Fine Rice Scheme has brought significant relief to both farmers and the poor, benefiting nearly 86 per cent of the population.

He observed that, unlike in other sectors where producers determine the price of commodities, farmers are often denied that opportunity.
