Hyderabad, July 15 -- The Telangana State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of disturbing media reports about a food poisoning incident at the Scheduled Tribe Welfare Girls' Hostel in Mudigonda, Devarakonda Mandal of Nalgonda District, where over 30 girl students reportedly fell ill after consuming contaminated food.

In response, the commission has directed the chief secretary to the government of Telangana to submit a comprehensive report by August 28.
