Hyderabad, Jan. 30 -- Telangana on Friday joined the nation in paying heartfelt tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 78th death anniversary.
The day, observed as Martyrs' Day, commemorates Gandhi's supreme sacrifice and honours all those who laid down their lives for India's freedom.
Prayer meetings were organised across the State by Gandhi's followers, during which his favourite bhajans, including "Vaishnav Jan To." and "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram," were rendered.
