Hyderabad, Feb. 12 -- Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy on Thursday said stringent security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of vote counting for municipal elections across the State.
Over 73 percent voters cas their ballots in the Municipal elections held on Wednesday and the counting of votes will be taken up on Friday.
The DGP said counting of votes is being held for elections to 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations, for which a total of 123 counting centres have been set up statewide.
He asserted that comprehensive measures have been taken to prevent any untoward incidents during the counting process.
