Hyderabad, Dec. 18 -- The Telangana Human Rights Commission (THRC), headed by Justice Shameem Akther, on Thursday took suo motu cognisance of a media report highlighting the destitute condition of a senior citizen allegedly abandoned by his children in Ranga Reddy district.
The Commission acted on a news report published in the Telugu daily Eenadu on December 18 regarding Dappu Mallaiah, who was found living on a footpath under the Rallaguda Flyover at Shamshabad after reportedly being dispossessed by his children.
