Hyderabad, Sept. 22 -- Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha today emphasised that sanitation, security and patient care workers play a crucial role in the functioning of government hospitals.
Chairing a review meeting with senior health officials at the Arogyasri Trust office, he directed major policy changes to strengthen these systems and improve patient services.
The minister proposed that a portion of hospital security staff be recruited from retired armed forces personnel, with tender rules ensuring that guards are below 50 years of age and physically fit.
