Hyderabad, Aug. 18 -- In a significant move to improve early childhood education, the Telangana government has announced special measures to strengthen pre-primary education in Anganwadi centres across the state.
Acting on the instructions of Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, officials have begun steps to relocate Anganwadi centers that are currently functioning in cramped, single-room facilities.
As part of this initiative, the government has identified 61 government school buildings with zero enrollment in 21 districts. Of these, 34 schools are located near existing Anganwadi centers.
