Hyderabad, Feb. 10 -- The Telangana government has decided to send proposals to the Centre for sanctioning funds for the construction of 642 km of roads in 227 habitations across the state that currently lack proper road connectivity, under the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

A state-level standing committee meeting in this regard was held on Tuesday at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and attended by Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Principal Secretary N. Sridhar, and senior officials from the concerned departments.
