Hyderabad, June 6 -- The Telangana government is now extending its flagship Indiramma Housing Scheme to urban areas, aiming to provide dignified housing for the urban poor without disrupting their livelihoods, said State Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.

Speaking after a review meeting on the housing scheme held on Friday, the Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the construction of Indiramma houses in rural areas has reached a crucial phase, and the government has now shifted focus towards urban regions.
