Hyderabad, Jan. 5 -- Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Monday announced a major expansion of critical care and diagnostic facilities in government hospitals, with the addition of 490 ventilators and nine new MRI machines across the state.
Replying to queries during the Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister said there are currently around 1,790 ventilator beds in government hospitals. With medical services improving, more patients are opting for treatment at public hospitals, leading to a sharp rise in demand for ICU and ventilator beds.
